The last picture of my muscle car - the Rambler.

Some of you may remember my Rambler.  It was a '67 Rogue with a 343 cu. in. engine with an Iskenderian Cam, Offenhauser heads and headers, 411 rear end, 4 on the floor, and a granny interior until I purchased an interior from the insurance company that came out of a Pontiac Lemans wrecked by Kenny Schauf.  I lost control up in Muddy Hollow one evening when I hit a mud slide and rolled over three times.  Of course Kim Klauer was with me.  We had been doing our best to keep Wisconsin's average consumption of Milwaukee's favorite product and decided to drive up to Bagley to find some "action" such as it was.  I believe we outran the state park police when we hit 130.  I know we took Melcher's corner with our back tires over the edge.  I had actually slowed down when the accident occured.  Duh.  Fortunately Kim only got a few cuts on his arm and we both got bumped around.  It could have been worse.  Kim added this: "If you remember, I was taken to see Doc David by my brother-in-law. Doc said that he could stitch up the cuts but if he didn't it would leave a scar and help remind me to be more careful for the rest of my life. It worked....got to respect ol' Doc David. Kim"
The engine ended up in a pickup/tow truck down in Dickeyville.

I think Phil Bernhardt took this picture for the paper.  You can see their old Mercedes in the background.
